Information
This session will take a brief stroll through time, reflecting on brokers’ lived experiences, to consider the seminal moments of major market evolution, in a bid to identify what’s coming – or could come – next. What are the ‘must-dos’ for brokers, MGAs and insurers to stay relevant? Against a backdrop of those historic distribution game-changers, ‘tech’ transformers and the rise of regulation, what current threats do brokers believe could be turned into opportunities? How could addressing some of the big issues and dominant topics today help manage or mitigate others perceived as threats?
Discussion points include:
- Where and when could the next insurance inflection point come and how can brokers, MGAs and insurers ensure it brings more opportunity than threat?
- What can be learnt from those previous game-changers – in terms of the underlying challenges or flawed structures they were seeking to overcome or overturn?
- With many layers of industry tension between value and cost, what mainstays from the past 30 years are less relevant now in attracting and retaining tomorrow’s insurance buyers? And what is rising in relevancy that must be embraced?
